Large amount of cash, among other items, stolen from Fayetteville home

150514JrPoliceAcademy_webThe Fayetteville Police Department believes it is close to finding a suspect in a home burglary that occurred on the 100 block of Orchard View early Wednesday morning.

A suspect broke into the Fayetteville home and stole a Playstation, backpack and a large amount of cash from the residence. Fayetteville Police Dept. Capt. Mike Whitlow said it is believed the suspect was familiar with the items inside the house.

While it was not yet known as of Thursday afternoon where the victim fled to, Whitlow is confident the suspect won’t be on the loose for much longer.

“We do expect to identify the suspect very soon,” Whitlow said.

The Fayetteville Police Dept. is processing evidence from the scene. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Fayetteville Police Department at (770) 461-4441.
