New additions to this year’s Gaddy family light display

When the Gaddy Family pushes back from the Thanksgiving Day dinner table and switches on the drive-through light display at their home on Sandy Creek Road, the Christmas season officially begins in Fayette County. This year, Mike and Gwen have added a scene involving real airplane, a red doghouse and Snoopy the beagle… or should we say “The Red Baron”? The Gaddy Family Christmas lights display is free of charge. On Friday, Dec. 5, the Gaddys will host a Toys for Tots drive 6:30-10 p.m. Each child visiting the light display will receive a small “thank-you” gift from Santa and his helpers. Generous people not able to visit on Dec. 5 with a Toys for Tots donation can drop toys off anytime between Thanksgiving night and Dec. 17. (Staff photo by Danny Harrison)
