SWCC opens ‘Byron & Jim’s Place’

Around 200 people joined the Southwest Christian Care team in Union City on Thursday afternoon of last week to cut the ribbon on SWCC’s new Byron & Jim’s Place, a $1.3 million debt-free building that will be home to the center’s popular Daybreak senior care ministry as well as Hope House.

Hope House, which is located on the upper story of the building, is a pair of hospitality suites and a generous common area set aside for out-of-town and overnight guests of SWCC’s hospice ministry. All of SWCC’s ministries are provided free of charge thanks to thousands of friends and supporters who supply funds and volunteer time.
